What exactly have you done to systematically troubleshoot plugins? Vienna, Kontakt, and Play: there are three plugins that sure as hell known to cause problems. Nothing you have described so far makes it seem like you have anything more than not-that unusual plugin issues.

There are several threads on DUC about Mac graphics/GUI issues. If you want help you need to clearly describe problems. You need to dig in and systematically troubleshoot things. You are not going to get anywhere by hand waving about problems like this. I'm not the only one having this problem and it's been going on ever since I bought PT 11 which was obviously a huge mistake.
#Nicecast volume level not fluctuating install
Maybe down the road I can take it apple (Again) and have them put a fresh install and pull my apps back but as far as I know it is a bug with PT plain and simple. I've already trashed prefs and reinstalled plugs. Thanks for the input (I really appreciate it though) but this was already tried and it didn't solve the CPU errors. If you've already tried all this, then it's back to my 1st suggestion.

If this is a huge issue, try removing all 3rd party plugs from the plug in folder, trash your prefs and if your system drive is a spinner (non SSD) get yourself a copy of Techtool Pro and optimise (de-fragment) your system drive. Hey, sorry to hear about your issues! The easiest and best way forward is to wipe your system drive (after cloning it of course) and start from scratch, new OS & fresh install of PT (and avoid installing anything other than audio software/apps on the drive, avoid clutter) - sorry, but that's the reality, there's obviously something amiss with your install.

That's great man, where are the updates cause I've been waiting years.Īnd this issue happens in playback and bouncing!!! AVID just pointed fingers, EWQL just pointed fingers. EWQL said they were looking into it and never got back to me. I've already used ASC for this and no one will help me- everyone just says to look for updates. If someone would actually fix the problem it'd be better for everyone. There's no way  I'm going to pay for 12 or any other version until I get this fixed because this has been going on forever and all anyone ever tells me is "tough luck." This issue is work destroying so I can't pass on the profit even if I want to because there isn't any since the program crashes so much. out of memory" when clearly I have like two patches loaded.ĬPU: 12C intel 24Threads Mac Pro 32GB ram and 1TB all SSDs for all libraries (2 512 and 1 tb SSDs) on thunderbolt II external pro storage. I also get random issues with a memory leak in PT where it suddenly keeps asking "are you sure.

It seems to be triggered by volume graphing or other automation data such as a tempo change. If I bounce online it gives me the error.
#Nicecast volume level not fluctuating Offline
The weird thing is that if I bounce offline I get clicks and pops but it won't give that error. I've updated everything to the latest and am using 10.10.2 OS. This happens when using play instruments mixed with kontakt, or play by itself. I'm using all plugins that AVID claims is compatible (Vienna, Kontakt, and Play). I've tried vienna ensemble but I'm having issues with that giving delays on the release of notes. So what is going on? I have buffers at max or at 512. The only reason I'm surviving is because I keep on persisting and eventually force it to play after hitting the spacebar many times or restarting but this is seriously outrageous. To be clear I've never even seen my CPU hit 30s but I still get this awful error. I still have the dreaded out of cpu error and no one has been able to fix it, save I constantly restart the computer and pray- it has been working just barely enough because of the 12core overhead, however when a project reaches as low as 9% CPU it throws this error.
